2006 f350 cc dually...28,000 miles - yes 28,000 miles. All stock, bought it really to just pull my 36ft toyhauler. Just came home from a trip over two mtn passes and ran fine then last week on the way to work just out of the blue blowing smoke. Pulled the egr valve and its wet underneath. Likely/hopefully? just the EGR cooler and oil cooler...guesstimate was $3800 from an NON Ford diesel shop...Ford service tells me its because I dont drive it enough to "work" the truck. Maybe if i drove it more it would have broken BEFORE my warranty expired?
