If you carry a full shop toolbox (enough stuff to pull a motor), and you are willing to invest in good diagnostics software like AutoEnginuity, then the 6.0 can be a decent buy. Or, if you get a good deal and plan on replacing the 6.0 with a Cummins 5.9L, then that can be a good deal too.
Otherwise. Buy a V10 if you are partial to Fords, or buy a diesel from somebody else.
Best reply by far.
If you go to youtube and look up powerstroke help and just start watching videos you will learn all you need to know about the 6.doh. While I know he is trying to sell his business there is enough explaining to make it worth your while to watch several of his videos.
Funny thing is in a couple of his videos he is working on a 6.0...he bulletproofed a few years before.
So even bulletproofed 6.0's can fail. I think he said he gets 5-7k to do a bulletproofing. Others prices vary depending on how extensive the job is to do.
With that all said, I love the way a good running 6.0 drives and runs.
Thanks and good luck!
