We sold our focus and bought a escape ,same platform Iam told most of the cut/suv are car based so they can switch back.what I found was no real difference between the two mileages.
So why buy a car when for similar mpg you can have a wagon?
BTW chrysler is 2 years ahead of Ford.
Look at this way Less you have a plant running one shift making low profit cars, would you not shut it down and run high profit cuv/suv 2 shifts?
Remember ranger bronco are in the pipe line.
Don't worry think back when every division made a station wagon a convertible ,bet it was all gloom and doom then too.
The companies will maximize profit no room for sentiment
