It's obvious you're a bit behind and that's Ok, but you would be shocked at the number of todays stock factory cars that would beat that '68 Nova. As a matter of fact there's no '60's car to could beat todays best.
As for Ford's decision on the car topic the last time I purchased a car was a 1987 IROC Camaro with a TBI 350 which couldn't hold a candle to todays Camaro and Mustang.
And a significant percentage of Electric vehicles will blow away many of the newest “muscle cars”.
As well, there must be a little demand for sedans. There are about 1/2 million Tesla model 3,s reserved. Of course they do zero to sixty under 5 seconds. :)
