Along with Lexus, Infiniti, Mercedes, BMW, Volvo, Rolls Royce, Porsche, Volkswagen, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Bentley, Bugatti, Mazda and a handful of others. A lot of competition for the same market.
Full size trucks not near the number of players in the market place.
Ford held onto the past before, Henry Ford kept making model T's when GM cleaned their clock with new drive trains and designs. They had to shut down and retool or go out of business. You can't build cars that don't have enough market shares and be competitive.
