I would not even consider spending 20k on an old truck like that. I know where you can find a 2016 Ford Platinum in showroom condition with 30k miles for $51k. 10 years down the road the 2000 will be worthless and the 16 will still be worth 25k. So for $600 per year You could take a huge step up. I believe a 2000 will require more for repairs over the next 10 year's than what a '16 would.
