I had an '11 EcoBoost with 3.55 gears. Normal day to day driving I got 17-18 while towing a 7000 lb trailer gave me 6.9-8 depending on winds, route, etc.
The only reason I have the rig I have now was the minimal payload I had on the F150. 1,400 lbs was quickly used after the tongue weight and family. Other than that I loved the truck and the engine was incredible.
In comparison my F350 gets 18 day to day and 12 towing.
