Toyota and Nissan are coming out with the Cummins V8 soon which should be a heck of a motor. But it will prob be limited in payload. Love to see a manufacturer throw that Cummins V8 in a 250/2500 series truck. Something that could handle most recreational towing/hauling duties...maybe Toyota or Nissan will beef up their offerings...
The eco-boost is a partial aluminum block motor with all aluminum heads. That will not work in a heavy duty truck. It needs to be cast iron before they consider the F250 I would think. Also that truck is heavier so it would probably bring the tow rating way down. I think in heavy-duty trucks the old saying of there's no replacement for displacement holds true.
