Tell me! That's what brings a smile to my face everytime. I always have way more than enough power for passing at any expressway speed! I just have to remember to look down at the speedo, so I don't hit the limiter. Did that once in a previous midsize Ford truck that had almost 300 HP with little weight behind it.

It's something when our Trucks are faster than yesteryears Mustang GTs, Camaro Z28s and Firebird Trans Ams (and Forumlas) ! Now if Ford would just bring back the suspension of the lightning as they already have the engines that would put others to shame.

No, and no. I'm not enough of a mechanic to know what they were talking about if they had told me.

Rest assured, I'll be monitoring wet weather performance. As I said earlier, I haven't been able to replicate the problem.

I'm still pleased with the truck. It rides nice, and lifetime (3,300 miles) fuel economy is 17.9mpg. It will get 20mpg or better if I baby it on the highway, but it will go from 50 to 90mph in short order.

OMG! You've already had the problem with your new '13. Man, that sucks. I really hope they get the issue straightened out for you. Right after that lengthy thread you had. I knew you were gambling but I was hoping it wouldn't happen as easy or as soon.

The program won't help as it can't magically make the condensation stop occuring without active cooling control on the intercooler which just isn't there and would be very expensive, highly complex, and questionable at best. I hope their new programming doesn't limit your throttle position or reduce performance in trying to keep heat down.

Did you notice a reduction in performance? Did they state to you what this program is actually doing to reduce condensation?

This really sucks as I really am a happy Ford owner. I wish Ford would stop screwing around and put some real money in fixing this problem. We have water separators in our equipment at work and a solenoid controlled drain valve would also work, but at what expense to performance. With 2 less efficent intercoolers, maybe condensation wouldn't form in the first place. But they need to get off their butts and do something proactive to fix this.

I wouldn't let it end there, I would demand some guarantee that if this isn't fixed you have adequate recourse so that you are not harmed.

I was going to...oh, never mind...33,000 miles and no problems.

what are the Ford 6.2L engines getting for MPG? My GM 6.2L is getting a constant 18-18½ on the highway and it is not broke in yet. Folks with 10K-12K are reporting MPG in the 19-20 range, which is good for a 400+ HP engine.

At F150forum, people are getting in the 15 - 16 expressway with their F150 Crew Cab 4WD 3.73 axle 6.2L trucks. Then again, GM uses those power sucking garbage ratio axles as the 3.06 axle and 3.42 axles. So Maybe at loss of a lot of power and low end torque.

With my 2010 F150 Crew, 4WD, 6 speed auto, 3.55 axle, 5.4L, I was getting 18 - 19 mpg expressway. With my F150 Crew, 4WD 6 speed auto, 3.73 axle, 5.0L, I'm getting 20 - 21 mpg.

I think they have more than tabaccy in their smokes.:W

2 months is a very short time to draw a conclusion IMHO.

I have spent three years watching this issue and have read everything i could lay my hands on. The sales manager i deal with at first even had recommended waiting, as with any new model or change it is best to wait for the bugs to be worked out. Yes two months is a short time but the overall issue seems lessening.

Actually if you go ford f150.net and do your own research you will find that this is more of a dying issue. There are ven guys that have figured out a fix that seems to be working. I agree was an issue but it seems to be less with each passing model year. Bottom line i am going to hookup our camper and roam down the road. If there is an issue it is headed to the dealer until I will enjoy.

People talking about "driving methods," and, "you need to drive it this way, drive it that way, do this, do that."

In my mind you shouldn't have to resort to voodoo driving to keep your truck from loosing power on hard acceleration?
Especially low mileage brand new..

This is still a developing story..but seem to be taking on so steam.
