Well opinions are like well you know. Funny someone must like what we are building we paid are loans off, has your beloved Blue Oval paid theirs? Here's a hint NO. Sorry but those brake lines are the same ones used by Ford and GM same supplier. My brake lines do not have any rust on them and it's a 2000s Ram.
Maybe your friends should learn what a car wash is for. Again if you like your Kool-Aid Blue then drink up. I used to but it started leaving a bad taste do to their piss-poor quality and customer non-service. Hell they offered me a job in their die shop @ River Rouge, I'm went to Chrysler.
Chrysler has always made **** vehicles. Period, end of story. Most quality surveys from actual owners put them at the bottom of the barrel. That's straight from those that own them, not me or any outsider.
The one that had the brake lines was the one who found it was the******steel Chrysler used, not me. He was lucky they broke in the parking lot and not while in motion. And I doubt a car wash woul help with the crummy Chrysler transmission issues.
And just because the parts are from the same supplier doesn't mean they are the same. The company doing the ordering (Chrysler, Ford, GM, Toyota, etc) specs the part and the cost. Too low a cost and something has to give.
Lets talk loans, shall we. Iaccoca went to the govt hat in hand in the 80s and asked for money to save Poor Chrysler. We gave it to them. 20 years later they were back asking for more. Should have been denied the first and definitely the second time. Wonder if well have the cajones to do it when they come back looking for more? I predict Fiat will grow tired of the turd and get out too. Sales last month for Chrysler, while up were mainly helped out by Ram and Jeep. Cars were not selling well except for Dodge. Not good with their "all new lineup".
Yup, Ford took money too, a DOE loan for alternative fuel cars and some TARP for Fird Credit. They are paying those back. Really can't do it ahead of schedule as they mortgaged everything to not take govt money (because the Ford family would have lost control of the co). But it's a lot harder to pay back early when most of your debt is not forgiven as in the GM and Chrysler bankruptcies.
