Basically equal for 24V is sort of true.
Like said, 01.5-02 get rear disks. Not a big deal other then I changed my last set of drum brakes about 15 years ago and I'm good with that, lol.
Also, 01-02 can be had with 6 speed manual which helps over the 5 speed. Both stout units. Wouldn't bother with an auto in that truck unless it was a good enough deal to get it built right.
CAD vs not, I'd rather rhave CAD but I'd also rather have locking hubs. Reality is it's not a big difference IMO. 150 k on my 07 with no CAD, just replaced the first axle u joint last week and the other one want far behind. CAD wouldn't help that. Maybe a fraction of a mpg though.
But now I'm as off topic as the rest of the posts, although a thread about $25 k 5 year old loaded diesel pickups wasn't bound to go far.
