Ford F150 3.7 L V6
I may be looking at one of these trucks. In a super crew 2 wheel drive configuration. It has 3.73 rear axle ratio. And a tow rating around 6000 pounds. This little motor has more power than my 97 F150...

Same reason the 5.0 in HD trim tows less than the 3.5 in HD trim. The 5.0 and 3.7 aren't built to the same standards as the 3.5
