Went to Ford dealer yesterday with a friend who purchased a 2014 Ecoboost. I asked the salesman why the 2015 went to the 3.5 base. He told me it was because of the European market. Ford would pay a higher tarrif for the 3.7 import so they lowered it to 3.5. Still don't know what that has to do with th U.S. market. I think they could have left the U.S. engine at 3.7. Just my opinion. Didn't debate it wiyh the salesman. What would be the point.
Might be correct, but it sounds more like a salesman just throwing out an answer. I suspect it was to pull off an additional 1 mpg on the EPA mileage number, since that seems to be everyone's focus these days.
The salesmans lips were moving there for he was lyeing. I dont believe the f150 or the mustang for that matter are sold in europe. Why can they ever say "Im not sure but I can try to find out for you"?
