What's amazing is the lack of Chevy owners on here to debate the findings.
Not really. Some like me, don't care what 'surveys' or 'polls' determine. Frankly many like me don't bother answering surveys or responding to polls, as I find many of these seem to ask carefully constructed questions to get predictable answers.
When you look at say political polls that maintain they're accurate within 1 to 3 %....19 out of 20 times....or whatever the figure is , I question that...given how many times they're dead wrong with predicting which candidate will win.
A few months ago we went new vehicle shopping. I've mostly been a Chevy guy, but this time around I looked at offerings from Mopar, Ford and GM.
I did so and without any misgivings about any particular brand, as nowadays I feel...quality wise...they're all pretty good. It's hard to go wrong with any of what we used to call the Big 3.
We were very impressed with Mopar's Jeep Cherokee V6, the Ford Explorer V6 and the new model Chevy Impala V6. Any one of them would of been fine...in fact great. Style wise, mechanically (believe GM and Ford used the same jointly developed, 6 speed FWD automatic) and reliability/durability all seem without concern.
We eventually selected a Chevy Impala with the 305 hp V6...as it was most comfortable for me...given my bum knee...old hockey injury.
It's the first new vehicle we've had, where everything was right...nothing wrong (touch wood :B).
