Ford injector pump failure
The injector pump in my 2009 F250 failed and fouled the injectors. 22 day out of extended warranty and Ford won't pay. Has anyone had similar problems and how much can I expect to pay to have it rep...

Do you wonder if Ford dealers see this type of failure as a Cash Cow.
#1. Find a good independent diesel shop in the area and get a quote.
I personally find it ridiculous that the entire fuel system needs to be replaced. Yes, bypass fuel is returned to the tank then recirculated through the system.
Yes replace the injectors
Yes replace both the high and low pressure fuel pumps
Clean everything very well Tank, all fuel lines, filter housings. Really clean every thing from the Filter to the injectors VERY WELL! Then the filters keep all beyond them clean, yes you may loose a low pressure pump, but that should be a very good fix.
One or two cases of brake Clean should flush all the bad stuff.
