Have you had your dealer check for gas in your tank? These pumps will self destruct with a good dosage of gas.
If buying used, I would say the best first generation trucks with the DPF is the Duramax trucks. I would stay away from the 6.7 cummins or the 6.4 PSD, but I would highly recommend if going with a DPF equipped truck is to go with one that has DEF.
