Worth a watch
What Year Powerstroke is Best
I'm exhausted after watching that video; he went through issues on those trucks that even I wasn't aware of. I wonder why he drives a 6.4L when they by his own admission are bad and the 6.0L are so much better. The feeling he explained that he has when travelling with his truck is exactly why I traded my 6.0L; it makes for a very unpleasant vacation having to constantly think about having trouble far away from home. I truly believe it's not a matter of if but when serious problems are going to occur.
All I can say is I'm very happy I traded my 6.0L for a Cummins after watching this. Spending big money on a truck and then having to spend more big money to "fix" shortfalls in the truck is just ridiculous. And yes I spent $3,300 on bulletproofing my 2003 6.0L and still had issues with it. One can be assured that his bulletproofing package with new heads, etc. is certainly not cheap and is certainly not a guarantee that some of the common problems will not reappear.
I also think that the newer 6.7L will be a very expensive truck to own long term. They are very complex and difficult to work on. And before anyone gets upset about that statement, have a look at some repair videos on YouTube (many of them by Ford techs) to see what I mean.
To the OP I would seriously consider selling your truck after it is repaired and moving on to something more reliable. Trust me, the peace of mind is well worth it.
