Ford or Dodge ?

I will be in the market for a different tow vehicle and thought I'd check here to learn differences from you guys with experience of these 2 mfrs.

I'm looking at '08 or newer 1 ton diesel SRW. I have always been a Ford guy and really like the Lariat pkg, but the Cummins motor has my attention also.

What experiences has anyone had with these 2 different truck styles.

    Agreed on staying away from the 08-10 years. I am a Ford guy thru and thru but those years did have issues that were expensive to repair. I had an 08 Lariat and what a nightmare but luckily I had ESP. My Dad had an 08 Dodge with all kinds of turbo issues, 3 in 20k. He is a sticker about care of his vehicle. Good luck in your venture.

    I personally would not buy an 08-10 Ford Diesel. Ford V10 is a great combo for these years if you have to stay Ford.

    If you want a Diesel then go for the Cummins during the 08-10 years.

    Ford, I'd go for a 2012 and up Powerstroke. I'd walk right past the 6.4 PSD.
