- DirtyOilExplorerWhen I decided to purchase Ram, I was driving to a meeting when I was stopped at a red light, the turned green and the Ford said "nope.. not moving". I walked across the street to the dealer on the corner which happened to be a Dodge dealership. I was hoping someone from the service department could help me rescue my Ford from the intersection. While they had it in the shop, I killed the time looking. A salesman came up to me asked if he could help me with anything. I said "see that ugly red thing on the hoist?" "I'm looking for a new truck". I ended up buying one of the better looking and most reliable trucks they had, they bought my Ford(suckers). I bought a new at the time Dodge Ram CTD 3500 4x4. Have bought 3 trucks from that same dealer 2005 3500, 2012 Ram 1500 for the wife and now a 2013 Ram 3500. Would I buy another Ford... not on yer life! My brother has a 2012 F350 and I can honestly say .."he doesn't like it".. I told him he wouldn't! :W
- Jayco254ExplorerYeah I know I get a little long winded sometimes so I should probably carry a soap box with me.

As a sort of insider, In your honest opinion, who do you think is doing this the best right now? :h Jayco254 wrote:
When I decided to make my switch to Ford I was talking to a counterman at an RV dealership I frequent and told him I was looking for a new tow vehicle and was always a Dodge fan until my last one got me thinking about my previous ones. He told me see that Dodge Cummins in the parking lot that's mine, so my advice to you is buy a Ford they know more about towing than Dodge ever will. It was hard to break an old habit, but even though Ram builds the best looking trucks by far, looks don't mean reliability so I switched and I don't think I'll ever look back. Now if my only my wife's Ram will be a whole lot better than all the other Dodges I've owned. Last time we used her truck to tow the TT I realized that my Expedition 5.4 with 3:73 gears and 300hp will tow at least equal if not better on hills that her Ram 5.7 w/3:92 gears and 345 hp. I'm hope the newer Rams with 390 hp will do better but will they and how much?

- DadoffourgirlsExplorerIronically, it was a year ago that Ford was still building 2013 F150's to take advantage of GM's new model startup and offer huge incentives on the 2013.
Now everybody is finding the same excuse that GM had last year. So yes, Ford has a plant down and all others are looking to take advantage of opportunity.

Tow trucks to the little trucks for grocery getters that never had a hitch at all. But it doe's give yall something to talk about I guess.
- Grit_dogNavigatorI love the Ferd vs Chev vs Ram arguments. They are all awesome or all the biggest pos. Just depends on the day. I have or had recent models of all 3 and even though I am more of a Ram fan they all are nice and will all get the job done more than handily.
- i2amanobodyExplorerWe tried to update to a Ford 2014 4 door 1/2T 4X4. It was a super nice rig. We currently have a F150 4X4 ext. cab in super condition with 36,000 miles on it. The problem? The dealership offered a insulting price on our trade, with a take it or leave it attitude. About $ 5,000 below average NADA. Our truck is in super, clean condition. I am thinking that maybe the reason sales are slightly down is due to dealerships being cheap on trade ins. Needless to say, we keep our 2010 and are quite happy with that decision. My 2 cents.
