- Many Dodges had the 5.9 V-8 which is new version of the 360.
- LessmoreExplorer IIIn '88 , Dodge trucks had the 318 V8...also known as the 5.2 liter in later Dodge truck models as far as I know.

So are you saying the Dodge RAM trucks were better in '92? I remember having to move those Dodge RAM trucks around on the dealer lot back in '88 and it took a couple of minutes for the lifters to stop ticking after a cold start. Those 318's were some real pieces of work I might say!
In addition moving the Chevy's and GMC's didn't have the lifter ticking issue like the Dodges. :h
Dang Troy; you're starting to look like this guy:
LOL, A Dodge 318? Really? Talk about a streeeeeeeeeeeetch!
Hell, even GM's POS 5.7 diesel didn't cost GM a BILLION $'s of warranty work! :E - notevenExplorer III

Actually, the documents say that "partial reimbursement" will be made to customers for certain repair-related expenses, but I didn't see any reference to what percentage of costs would be reimbursed. It looked as if Navistar is giving Ford a specific amount of money that probably will be divided among customers trying to get reimbursement (minus lawyer's fees of course!)
It's in there and wow.
1. You have to have had a warranty claim within the factory warranty period
2. You had to have had an additional expense for the same issue outside of the warranty period. Has to be same part and if no issues during original warranty then you aren't getting a dime.
If all that is true you get like pennies for the dollars you spent!
You may submit a claim for parts and labor charges you paid to obtain a repair to the following components, subject to the limits indicated below:
• Exhaust Gas Recirculation (“EGR”) Cooler: $475
• Oil Cooler: $525
• Oil Cooler & EGR Cooler both replaced during same repair: $825
• Fuel Injector(s): $375 for the 1st injector; $125 for each additional injector
• EGR Valve: $200
• Turbocharger: $750
Again I say wow! Somehow all the 6.0 owners just got screwed a second time or is this # 4, 5, 6, etc. I lost count. - Dan50ExplorerThat's all well and good for US buyers. What about Canadian owners?

Ford Motor Co. has reached a settlement with dozens of class-action lawsuits surrounding engineering issues with the 6.0-liter Power Stroke V-8 twin turbo-diesel that was offered in select Super Dutys from 2003 to 2007.
:R Oh brother, where do they get these people?
That limits the settlement class to zero people!!!! Chris
LOL, holy cr@P!!! You're right Chris! Man those lawyers are shifty!! - bmanningExplorerGenerally, the only winners in class-action suits are the lawyers.
And LOL on the "twin-turbo" 6.0L; does ANYONE proof-read or care about accuracy anymore?
