Had mine about 3 months and 5000 miles. Absolutely love it. Engine and tranny constantly maintain a comfortable temperature on even the steepest grades pulling a 11K lbs fiver.Great pulling power and more than I seem to need with the smaller axle.Hoping for at least a good decade of use on this truck.
Like others the gas mileage leaves a lot to be desired.
Only time I got spooked with it was the eastbound downgrade near the top on Monteagle in TN when suddenly the tranny dropped a gear on its own(I think it was 4 down to 3) and RPMs suddenly jumped and sustained at 5500 RPM. I thought the pistons would shoot through the hood as the engine was screaming. Really puckered me up! I'm thinking next trip down that slope I may manually down shift trying to regulate speed and RPMs and not rely on the tow haul and cruise control.
Any thoughts or recommendations on that?
