Aside from the HPFP failures 6.7s had more than a few turbo failures due to ceramic bearings turning to dust. Believe the new turbo on the 15s is suppose to address.
Overall I would say the 6.7 is a good motor at least for Ford when you consider their diesel track record for the prior 10yrs. Still wouldn't get me in one though.
Did those HPFP failures that Ford was ducking have internal rust?
Turbo failures increase with the use of a tuner.
Does GM cover HPFP failures that have internal rust? Of course they don't.
"Internal rust" has not even been mentioned on the Dmax forums so not sure where you coming up with this info. GM for the most part is warrantying them no questions asked. Can't say that for Ford. If Ford wasn't having turbo issues then why a new turbo after only 3 years?
