Overall, Ford is coming out with pretty innovative things for it '17 model and I am interested in some real world reviews.
You would hope so since they have had 18 years to plan for the long overdue new design.
Let's see good towing mirrors and now good headlights, oh yea same CP4 pump. No thanks! - 45RicochetExplorerLOL guys, I was expecting more Ford guys comments.

Still using the CP4 pump? I'm sure the new super duty will be class leading in many respects, but if they're still using that time bomb of an injection pump, it's gas only or pass for me.
What pump does FCA use in the Ram ED?
The same crappy one as you find in the Powerstroke, Duramax and the new Cummins V8 in the Titan.
I wouldn't buy any of them. Not worth the risk. - spud1957Explorer

x2. The Powerstroke 6.7L diesel will be a VERY expensive engine to own long term. That is one of the key reasons I bought the Ram/Cummins because I'm in my truck for the long haul. - IdaDExplorerStill using the CP4 pump? For me, innovative would be vehicle reliability and ease of service since I will being pulling a fiver full time. In my opinion, Ford is marketing to folks that was a diesel that has zero to 60 MPH times.
I agree with the others, staying with the Cummins solution offered in the RAM.
These trucks are medium duty, not what we would often use to haul campers... but I was impressed with the B10 life of 500,000 miles. That is pretty reliable to me, certainly more than I would ever plan on putting on a truck.
I'll be honest, I don't plan to own any vehicle, even my current diesel, much past about 100K miles. Regardless of reliability, there is something about 100K miles that makes me pause.
