Forecast of minus 60 in mid-west.

About 50 degrees in the Pacific North West corner of the US. I've been commuting to work on my motorcycle all winter.

Go to Alaska, its warmer there. One of the qualifying races for the Iditarod just got canceled because of rain messed up trail conditions. Lack of snow has caused cancellation of another and another has to be shortened because of poor trail conditions.

Ha! Amazing to think a freezer needs a heating element to keep proper temp!

Seems very cold with the wind whipping by. I think the wind forces the cold feeling into every crack in a home, camper, or clothing.

Homeless By Choice has it correct, only people and animals feel the effects of wind chill.

I have been in Chicago when it was cold and windy, yes COLD, but no issues walking about six blocks from hotel to place of work.

I don't care who you are...... -17 is down right WRONG ! ! ! Add that wind to be -55.... NO WAY

-17 is STILL BAD no matter who you are.. brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I have issues breathing when we hit 0 here in the North East

Today, I started at 2 AM. I only had to clean up overnight drifts this morning. Yesterday I started at 1:45 AM and got back home at 3:45 PM. It snowed over night. I did have to stop to refuel. I took along two apples and just kept on plowing.

That -60F is a lot of hype. The real temperature is much warmer. It is -17F here now with a wind chill of -55F. The winds are rather strong. Cold is cold but it is still only -17F when it comes to starting my truck not the hyped up -55F.
