- Chuck_thehammerExplorerI hope its all GUESSING...
I am trying out the Snow Bird thing for the first time....
South Carolina coast.. - Deb_and_Ed_MExplorer IIIt IS all guessing, based on previous El Nino years, but my Weather-Geek friends say that El Nino is waning; and that we should start trending slowly back to "normal"??
- agesilausExplorer IIII always refer to them as weather-guessers. Anything over a few days gets unreliable. But I've noticed that they are getting a little better out to a week or so. Precipitation guesses seem to be less reliable than temperature guesses.
- TurnThePageExplorerEl Nino was suppose to deliver us drier and warmer than normal conditions. We've had a couple feet of snow and near 0F for the last couple weeks in the inland northwest. I can think of some other choice names for that lad.
- WyoTravelerExplorerNope not guessing and it is El Nino. It is waning but will mostly last out this winter. It has been warm up here in Wyoming. Well not a heat wave but warmer.
- gboppExplorerI don't know. It's about 22, windy and the temp is dropping towards single digits tonight in south central Pennsylvania.
That's not above normal. - agesilausExplorer III

If you read the article they said that for the next 30 days it was going to be cold on the east coast then switch to the other pattern. - Dave_H_MExplorer IIChuck, where did you get the notion that the SC coast was toasty in the winter? :B
- free_radicalExplorerI knew an old indian fella living in one small town and he surprised everyone with very acurate weather forecast every time..so they sent over a tv reporter to investigate how he does it..
He says its simple,.I just read farmers almanac.. - down_homeExplorer IIWe've had warmer and wetter weather til now. Below freezing at night. Going to rain Fri and Sat and 60s Sat.
I was thinking of plating some Heirloom tomato seeds in little paper cups and peppers etc, and maybe by end of Feb setting them out.
Snow flurries up on the Cumberland today though.
