We bought a new FR Cherokee 264L (32 feet) in April '13 and logged 25 nights and 1800 miles in first 6 months. This is our first camper and we couldn't be more pleased. Have had some minor problems but have been able to fix most myself. It is not time-efficient to leave it at the dealer for 4 weeks for a 30 minute repair, even if it is under warranty.
We looked at several brands and then talked to the owners of several independent RV repair shops in the area to get a feel for their experience. All had definite opinions, and all rated FR products in their top grouping.
You may well have some problems, but apparently FR has a descent reputation for making things right.
