- WayneAt63044ExplorerMy Suburban manual also indicates there is a switch outside behind the tube. I've never seen it but will sure look for it the next time the trailer & I are together. Thanks bob213.

Downtheroad is correct except the electricity to the water heater in my 2013 Forest River Vibe 826VFK is only turned off at the 120v circuit breaker. There is no outside switch. This may be true on your Rockwood as well.
That's really unusual as few circuit breakers are designated as "on-off" switches. You could be right, but just to be sure get down on your knees and look to the far left under the burner tube for a black rocker switch. If you have a Dometic WH, disregard this post. - WayneAt63044ExplorerDowntheroad is correct except the electricity to the water heater in my 2013 Forest River Vibe 826VFK is only turned off at the 120v circuit breaker. - downtheroadExplorerIf you turn both on (elec. and gas) both will heat the water at the same time (faster) and both will shut off when the water reaches the internal thermostat set temp.
DSI (direct spark ignition) is for gas. Propane much be turned on.
The switch for electric is probably outside your rig behind the access door to the water heater. It will be a black on-off toggle switch.
MAKE SURE THERE IS WATER IN THE WATER HEATER TANK BEFORE TURNING IT ON.
