Forest river travel trailers

We have a Shasta Revere by Forest River and it's been great,Friends had a Salem and it was nothing but problems, luck of the draw as with most rv manufacturers.

We have a Flagstaff 27rlws, discovered a leak the first night we had it.Forest River did everything they could to get it fixed.
We really like their product and floor plans and would buy again from them.
If you do buy from them, open cabinets and really inspect the rig for defects. While our leak didn't do any damage to the unit, had we found it before the purchase, we would have bought the other 27rlws on the lot instead.

A colleague of mine has a 2013 Rockwood Roo; it's served him well so far. He'll be trading or selling it within the year, not because of any quality issues but because he wants something bigger.

To get answers to this question I would have searched this Forum for `Forest River' then searched the results for `review' or `problem' etc. Pay more attention to the negative comments.
You have already received four positive comments which will probably support your desire/decision to buy Forest River.

My last 2 trailers were/are Forest River. We had an 05 Cherokee that was perfect. And our current 07 that has been great. Keep in mind all manuf. will have their problems. It also helps to have a dealer with a great service department.

On second FR fifth wheel. First was a Sandpiper and currently a Sierra 360 PDEK. Yes, they both have had issues and FR and my dealer have corrected the issues. Only major problem. Was my fresh water tank cell out of my Sierra. FR was quick to respond in replacing and upgrading the frame that holds the tank in. A tech from FR came to my dealer to do the work and replaced the coroplast all with correcting some issues I did not see. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another FR product, actually we are looking at the Dynamax Super C.

We had a 2013 Surveyor Sport prior to buying a fifth wheel and going full-time. The quality was OK and it served its purpose. My main complaint was the lack of a heated underbelly, tanks, and utilities. That limited our cold-weather camping. We were members of the Forest River owners' forum and you'll find more there. As mentioned above, look for the postings about issues.

FYI, I enjoy reading the various forums for different manufacturers, but I am a member of only 2. Outback and Keystone. Still, each RV brand has their own forums. Lots of interesting things on there.

Kind of like brothers and sisters you know. They can fight among themselves, but let someone else come in and start bully one of them, and the sibling will be the first to stand up and fight for the other! I think the brand forums are pretty straight forward and honest. You'll get the real "dirt" there! Good luck!
