I am a fan of rating a half ton for about 6500 lbs. loaded TT weight which gives you about 750 lbs. on the tongue or more.
These are my CAT scale numbers and I have had good results with my 2010 E-Boost F-150 in all sorts of terrain.
Any thing over 7000 lbs. loaded for the road and I would opt for a 3/4 ton or larger.
It is a matter of how much wear and tear you want to subject your TV too.
