I had my trucks first oil change on my 2015 Ram 3500 CTD dually at 7500 miles. Manual states 15,000 mile intervals on newer 6.7 Cummins. Decided to have first oil change sooner because I towed TT for at least half of the 7500 miles. Walked out of dealer with no charge at all but did not have tires rotated. I am going to have rotation done Tuesday at little over 10,000 miles. Should be no charge too according to plan.
I see you have the Alcoa wheels. To PROPERLY rotate your tires that means they will have to dismount some or all of the tires from the wheels. That also means more chance of damaging those nice shiny wheels. I would make sure to do a walk around BEFORE they do any work to document any damage. Free of charge I still would not do it.
I personally would just stick to leaving the rear tires where they are and only rotate the fronts side to side leaving the wheel in its current location for the pressure sensor.
Be sure to run 80psi on the fronts ALL the time or you will get excessive edge wear.
Thanks Cummins12V98 for input. I have been running 80 psi in fronts and 65 in rear tires. Leaning towards just front tire rotation too after reading many posts on Cummins, Dodge, Ford, and dually forums regarding Alcoa wheels and TPMS systems. Opinions have widely varied according to tire rotation on dually trucks? Got to say very confusing subject. First time DRW truck owner here.
