No, the 855S is not a basement model- no easy access and no under-floor storage.
The bottom of the camper has to be dropped to gain access.
It could just be as simple as a loose fitting or more complex.
I agree- a new 2014 TC? Let the dealer do it, otherwise any future water problems could be blamed on the work you do.
On edit- of course I feel the same way you (and Flyfisher- below)
