Friction hinges, easy way to change?

Bought a new Apha Wolf this summer, currently on our shake down trip. Love the trailer so far but HATE the door friction hinge. Some day my wife's gonna fall down the steps trying to battle the friction hinge system. Is the an easy way to modify them without having to replace the upper and lower hinge?
If anyone has done this and you have a glass door, what did you use for a door stay?

    If you ever go out west where there's plenty of wind, you would appreciate that friction hinge. Ours lost its friction, and I wish it hadn't.

    I like mine. I don't have to latch it back now just to prevent a slight breeze from shutting the door. Try using some liquid silicone lubricant on the hinge if its too tight....it is new after all.

    Careful what you wish for. I installed a pair of the friction hinges after getting smacked in the back and lower legs a few times and don't regret it at all. Maybe a couple drops of low viscosity oil will free them up a bit.
