I had a similar problem last summer. flame was nice blue, looked ok, but was warming up. So..... based on previous experiences with plugged jets, I took out the orifice and looked through it with a magnifying glass and saw a VERY small piece of spider web. Now, with the low pressure of RV gas, it takes very very little to obstruct flow. Hit it with an air gun, reinstalled and Eureka! Nice big blue flame. cooled down as expected.
