The spacing for the baffle is in the .pdf manual I have for my fridge. I must have missed it before. It says 1-5/8" above the burner. That means it would be almost all the way to the bottom of the flue pipe. Mine is definitely not that close.
I pulled the roof vent cover this weekend. I cannot even see the top of the flue with a flashlight as it is covered by the cooling fins. I don't think I could reach my arm down in there that far anyway. I guess I will need to pull the fridge out completely into the trailer to get to the top of the flue.
