This, exactly. With the roof vents and windows open, the little 12v fan provides enough air movement to keep things comfortable at night.

My trailer has a 12v (cigarette lighter style) plug next to the bed. My 12v fan plugs straight into that. I found the 12v fan on Amazon. My trailer did come with the 12v outlet already installed.

I do not have an inverter. The regular plugs do not work when I am not plugged into a pedestal or generator. And I have learned how to not use them. It's a different mindset, but I come from a backpacking background. The fact that I have an actual bed and toilet is luxury.

AhHaa! Forgot about that 12v cig lighter style plug. We have one of those in the ceiling of our bedroom also but never used it. :B

We have this setup but the 12V fan plugs into the bedroom 12V cigarette lighter style plug for TV,(which we never use). Runs all night when in hot climates, sips power.

Yep, if the light was plugged into a 110 outlet and running off of the inverter all night, that definitely could have killed your battery.

I only turn lights on at night if I'm actively using them. Otherwise, the only things running at night are the fridge (on propane, but still requires 12v), the 12v fan I plug in next to the bed, and the various safety detectors.

An easy test is to look at the light. If it is working when the trailer is not plugged in then you have an inverter and it is on. Things that are plugged into the wall outlets, the microwave, the air conditioner, and often the TV will not work unless you have an inverter or are plugged into the shore outlet.

The fridge, while not operating on 12v but running on propane, still requires 12v to operate for the control board.

No, it was set to run on propane and the trailer was not plugged in. I turned the 12v battery power on and started the fridge. I don't believe the fridge will run at all on 12v only, and I have never turned the inverter on or off.
I may have to go back to where I store it at night to test this possibility.

The inverter itself draws some current when it is on, even if nothing is plugged into it. On our daily checklist of "things to check before leaving the trailer," one item is "Inverter OFF."

You can guess how this item got added to that list.
