My fridge switches automatically, I believe 12 volt is the last on the priority list. I always try to start my fridge and make ice in it, then load the fridge the night before I have to leave. Then come home from work and load the camper. I've DD'ed a couple of times with the camper on, and have been fine on propane.

Or like my wife that opens the fridge to get the butter out, then opens it to get the juice out, then opens it to put the butter back in, then opens it to put the juice in, then opens it to get the butter out, then opens it to get the eggs out, and so on, and so on. Get what you need out, eat, put everything back saves a lot on wasted cooling.

And forever to recover the cool if you do like my Grandkids and open the door and try to decide what you want :)

Well I ran it on A/C all last night and switched to propane before heading to work this morning. The house battery switch is turned to on so I'm not sure if it's running off of that battery or the truck but either way it's still cooling. Man they take forever to cool off.

Yes, run your fridge on propane unless you're on shore power and it's running on a/c. Never run it on 12v while camping, it will kill your battery overnight. I am rarely on shore power, so my fridge is always on propane.

When you get back have a trial run in the driveway with the fridge on and not hooked to AC power and I think you'll find the batt will be fine overnight
But have the trial when you can charge the batt the next day ( no work)

I meant load the camper on the truck. :D

If plugged into house outlet.........the converter/charger will keep battery charged and fridge on propane will work just fine.

Make sure you have battery disconnect turned to ON (if you have one)

AND the rig is level?!
