The experience with what the OP is towing with a 1/2 ton to 3/4 ton is night and day. The power with the Tundra is great and may not even be that much more with the 3/4. The benefit is the brakes, suspension, etc, etc.
Shop around and just buy the one you like the best.
I love my 6.4 Hemi but you really can't go wrong with any of the new/newer vehicles. There have been a lot of advancements in the last few years.
