Help/Advice: I have a 2008 Ford F-250 super duty longbox with an extra leaf spring installed. I bought a 2000 Sun Lite 6 ft camper with overhang. The weight of the camper is far below the capacity for this set up but I’ve noticed the front end of my truck box has dipped noticeably. Most of the weight is in the back of the bed and did not even dip the slightest when loading. I’m wondering the reason for the front dip.... my two guesses are the uneven center of gravity or my front turnbuckles are too tight. How do I fix this??? Is this unsafe to drive?? I’ve been driving on service roads and highways with no issue yet. Any input is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Frame bent, body/bed mounts rusted out/crushed are a couple things come to mind.Sounds like truck issue not camper.

You mean the front of the bed sits lower than it is supposed to and the body lines no longer line up with the cab?Just for clarification You have a short bed (6') camper on a long bed - is there unused space in front of the camper?Have you looked underneath the bed? It is not unusual for the bed supports on these trucks to rust out. They may have crumbled under the weight of the loaded camper combined with rough roads. It is a short bed camper on an 8 ft bed. I use the unused space for my gear for work which weighs over 100 pounds.

Take the TC off before driving that far. It can't be repaired with the camper on anyway.

maybe raise the camper with some 4x4 for more clearance.

I think I found the issue, rusted out mounts on the right side

I have no option unfortunately to leave the camper anywhere so hopefully I make it to the shop.
I’m in the middle of nowhere with the closest shop an hour away. Let’s hope I make it
