When all else fails , in a similar situation I have taken hypodermic needles and epoxy resin , drilled many holes in the skin about 4 inches apart , and filled the voids with epoxy . Ugly but strong . It was on a large boat coach sides , sanded and painted , not so bad . As a last resort , maybe !
