Fuel Filters

I switched vendors and now buy all filters / Fleetguard from truckhelp.com, their prices are hard to beat. I order 12 fuel and 6 air for both my 2006 Dodge Cummins diesels.

I change fuel filters with each oil & filter change and air every other time unless needed sooner.

Genos is a great place to buy Mopar/Cummins/Fleetguard and other products for the Mighty RAM.

OP, Both filters need to be changed once yearly or when the EVIC tells you to (should be around 15,000 miles). However, there have been some flashes for the EVIC as the EVIC has told some individuals to change their filters sooner than required. Personally, I buy the 4/2 pack from Geno's and buy an additional 2 fuel/water separators for the chassis. The fuel/water separator is actually made by Parker-Racor and Geno's sells both (Mopar and Racor). So go with what you want.

Yes, things have gotten arguably better though.
For years Bosch has been telling GM and Dodge/Ram that thier FI system needs 2~3 micron fuel filtering but the manufacturers have ignored them. This results in excess wear to injectors and shorter life. The newer filtering gets down to that micron level and has better water separation.
Still, it's a hard pill to swallow going from my $12 filter (though I do have 3u secondary filtering) to $120 FF's.

Sounds like things have changed since my 2007.5 Dodge 6.7L. Just one filter that I know of. I change it every 15K miles per the maintenance schedule.

Both are lousy fuel filters when it comes to diesels. I've taken them apart and they don't dont have nearly as many pleats as FG's, nor are they Stratopore.

I just purchased both filters, fuel and water Sep for my 2014 Ram off of eBay for $99 and change with free shipping from a Dodge dealer in Ohio. Mopar brand.
