- v10superdutyExplorerWell, as expected the guys who favour the other brands have had to take a few gentle negative pokes at this new Ford.
Mainly about the rear fenders :W
Kinda like talking about a ladies rearmost asset... :o
That's no big deal and probably normal reaction not to praise the brand you "don't" drive.
But think about it this way guys.
If you ever plan to buy another GM or Fiat product, you should hope this new Ford turns out great! :S
The better it is, and the more positive press and reviews it gets, the higher the likelihood that "your" brand will immediately look for ways to make theirs better..
Its just how it works.
If this truck is a dud, they will have no reason to advance their product?
So hope its good and within about 5 years, your brand will get even better. :B - fla-gypsyExplorerLooks good to me
- bedrockerExplorerSweet Ride I want one :)

Yea, fat fenders may look like an after thought, but if one gets clobbered, you don't have spend $4000 to replace the entire side, like on my GM. Looks like the fat fender can be removed, fixed easy and replaced. I love my GM duly, but it has a dent in the fat fender. To fix, the entire side has to come off. I'm just leaving the dent for now.
I agree and have made this point here several times. As a matter of fact if a rear fender does get damaged which I see all the time you can have a new one painted at a body shop and install it yourself and your truck never has to go to a body shop.
MAYBE if the truck is new. If it's a couple years old no body shop worth it's salt will do that and guarantee a exact color match without the truck there. - hone_eagleExplorer

Fleet buyers influence the 'tac on' fenders, they want cheap to replace ,because employees tend to not be as careful with equipment. - ReneeGExplorer

Hmmm, I like the current DRW fenders. The new ones, to me look like pre 2000 models. What I really like is the section on Technology and all the new cameras, essential in backing up and towing!
"Transformer" looking rear dually finders? Chris
Agree. DutchmenSport wrote:

Love the look of the truck but the dually fenders look like an after thought. GM and Ram fendera are more intergrated looking.
X2 Those look like they were glued on as an after thought. The dash looks much better. They have almost copied the Ram dash so at least they are on the right track....
