When a body shop here in my hometown told me they had repaired an aluminum F150 and when the replaced the door on it they took the old door and stabbed it with a Butcher Knife and pulled the knife and it ripped like a beer can. I decided to go ahead and order me a loaded down 2016 Lariat F350 DRW PSD. The dealer told me he has 25 on his lot now and is taking his allotment from Ford of 43 more. He scared the price of the 2017 will be too high to sale.
You should hear the stories people tell about my Prius work truck. I can't believe people are that gullible.
YOU HAVE A RARE VEHICLE WITH A PRIUS WORK TRUCK
LOL! Two years ago my bride told me I was spending $7-800 a month in gas for the F250 using it for work at 100~miles a day. I joked with her that I was going to buy a Prius for work. She started looking and wanted one with the Xsp package. Two years later she still loves driving the F250 and I'm getting 53~mpg city with the Prius carrying the same 400~~lbs of tools and parts I carried in the F250. I had to give up the ol' man card but it works well. - Ford_ManExplorer

Should know pricing this coming week as the order board for the 2017 opens up. - Ford_ManExplorerWhen a body shop here in my hometown told me they had repaired an aluminum F150 and when the replaced the door on it they took the old door and stabbed it with a Butcher Knife and pulled the knife and it ripped like a beer can. lack of b-pillar is far from new and also far from safe for both side impact and rollovers. one of the reasons dumped their old extended cabs for my11.
Do you have any evidence to back up that claim? Safecar.gov does, and when comparing the 2011 F-150 extended cab vs. the 2011 Ram quad cab, the both earned the same 5 star side impact rating, though the Ram (with a B-pillar) did have a note on the side impact testing, that they excluded from the 5 star rating.NHTSA wrote:
Concerning the Ram 1500: Due to the intrusion of the driver door during the side impact pole test, the interior door panel struck the torso of the driver dummy, causing high resultant lower spine acceleration of 87 g's. High resultant lower spine accelerations, in excess of 82 g's, have a higher likelihood of thoracic injury.
Note: Although not included in the star rating, the driver dummy's abdomen rib deflection and thoracic rib deflection readings were elevated
So basically, if you dumped a 2011 Ford for a 2011 Ram, you actually took a step back in side impact safety.:W

Fordlover did you click on my link and look up the video and watch it? LINK TO VIDEO That sled they are using just comes to the mid point of the door! In a real side impact crash with another 4x4 pick up you will be in deep poop.
I don't drive around in a "contorted environment" like happens in these tests! I drive were people are going a whole lot faster than 35 mph! These tests are a good base line at best, at worst they give people a false sense of security.
I have been at accident scenes and have seen first hand what happens in the real world and it isn't pretty my friend. Our trucks are hands down 100% safer then just 10 years ago! I'll agree to disagree here.

He is disagreeing with your opinion. You linked a F150 with no B pillar and a 5 star side impact rating.
