I think he meant the Mercedes Benz G-56, 6 speed manual trans. The Getrag 238 is a lightweight. Mopar tried Getrags in their diesel pickups in the 1990's and they were invariably too weak to hold up to that neck snapping 460 pound feet of torque. Same can be said of the Dana 70's of that era.
