I was wondering why the charger in my TT had been bypassed and replaced with a Samlex 1230 30 Amp charger. The trailer has a large group 4D battery, about 225 AH. I purchased the TT used so hadnt thought much about it til I realized how long the converter/charger took for the group 27. Then the light came on.
Thanks for the input. The battery charger got it charged right up in a few hours.
I have an Intellipower PD4645 in the garage, and the specs on their "Boost Mode" sys it'll get the battery to 90% in 3-6 hours.
I'm going to swap in in jan before my long yearly Feb trip, so we'll see.
