To the original OP, I have a wave 3 and I LOVE it. I always have a window in the overhead and one in the main cabin cracked about an inch. air flow is fine and I have never had an issue.
I added this right under the existing heater. Center of the camper, easy tap into the existing propane line and effective warming of the main cabin. I am very happy with the heat levels even down to -4 or -5 (celcius) and the propane consumption
finaddict, this is right where I was thinking of putting, mine you must have a 2001ish Lance!
I was worried about the dinette running too hot, and the cabover not getting any heat. How has this been for you? The other option was to place on a hanger and move to the appropriate cupboards.
Since the original install I have also added a deflector shield above the wave 3 to keep a lot of the radiant air from going under the forced air heater. That shield ends up collecting a lot of the heat and acting as a radiator as well. I have never covered this unit when not in use, but from reading all of the replies, I think I should start.....
I have always been concerned about the CO issue, and it IS an issue. The key is to maintain two out side sources of air so that a flow is maintained in the cabin. Having said that, I really miss my old furnace in my KIT camper. It was propane heat (no fan) that vented outside and heated up fins on a radiator. It BELTED nice dry radiant convection heat into the cabin of my 9 1/2' KIT camper, Heated the entire camper very well, had a built in thermostat that was comfortably and never used an amp of electricity. I have never understood why the industry went away from that style of propane furnace......?
