Yes. And there in lies the problem. You are generating flue gases without a chimney. So in a situation where CO is being generated, instead of it venting safely away in the chimney, it spills right into the space it's being used in.
Where is the CO in this situation being generated when the byproduct is C02 and H20?

You need to understand that most people have zero knowledge of chemistry or combustion.
They just hear from a second cousin that you should never burn propane inside, ever.
They don't understand how clean propane burns. I wonder if they sell unvented propane fireplaces. Thought I saw some at Lowes. When I was a kid we had a 1962 travel trailer with propane lighting built into it. Light and heat.
