Safer than what? Other catalytic heaters that need ventilation during operation? There's no magic here. Camco didn't invent some special catalytic material that makes this heater any different than a Mr Heater or the plethora of other catalytic heaters out there. When used properly, they're all perfectly safe.
Now if you mean any catalytic heater is safer than an unvented open flame propane heater... Agreed.
