bookmaker – I’m not at all bummed about our visit to the Caverns. It was interesting to be driving into the park on flooded roads … in the dark … and the rain. We only had a couple hours to spend there anyway so seeing the visitor center and the floodplain at work was fine. Next time I hope to be able to spend a little more time so would like some sunshine though. Maybe you can come over and join us. We'll go snake hunting so maybe you can finally see a copperhead ;)
nycsteve – Glad you’re still hanging in there on this trip report. I’ve got two more days to go but will probably include both in one post as I spent less time touring and more time driving those days.
silversand – I don’t consider someone adding information relative to the story to be clutter. I usually do more research on places I’ve visited AFTER I’ve been there than I do before I go, mostly because I like to keep a flexible schedule. So when someone has something to add to the story then, by all means, please do so. I’ve been in the Canaveral area but never during a launch. I’ll bet that was awesome. Interesting to see the same radar installation there but looks like their fence needs some work!
