Gas mileage

Unloaded I get about 15 mpg combined. Pulling the TT I average 8 mpg >60 mph. However, if I drive 55 mph, I get 10 mpg.
When I had an F150 with the 5.4L, I got 7 mpg pulling the same camper regardless of speed.

I plan all my trips at 9mpg. Usually ill get 10-11mpg but I seem to always get that nasty head wind on the return trip lol... so it works itself out. Either way I stop every 180 miles for fuel so i dont dip below 1/4 tank(my truck is 26gallon capacity)

but like someone said already, the best way to save fuel is lift your foot off the pedal some. Its surprising how much a difference 5mph makes.

We are all getting pretty cocky, with $2.00/gallon gasoline. When it goes back up to $4.00/gallon (and it will), our costs will jump from $0.20/mile to $0.40/mile for fuel. Better go to Alaska next summer.

We just upgraded to a larger RV and a 2500 Ram with the 6.4 hemi. If fuel mileage is a big deal to someone I tell them it would be best to just give up on the idea of RVing with a trailer with a lot of room.

I now tell everyone we get between "F and E" - it starts out at F and when it drops to E we add gas it goes back up to F!

On an approx. 3,000 mile trip last year in the NE of the USA, we got anywhere from 6.5 to 9.0. Averaged 7.5 overall. We go about 65 mph when on the expressway.

This year we went 4,600 miles on a trip to Montana and Wyoming from MI and due to vehicle issue we borrowed my parents 2006 2500HD with the Duramax and towing the same trailer got 10.5 mpg overall.

All of these are hand calculated (fuelly.com actually).

We are towing a 36 foot TT with an F250 V10. Our GCVW is a little less than 18,000 pounds. I get between 7 and 8 depending on terrain. We usually run along about 60-65 mph. I get between 12 and 13, just the truck.

Just finished an 850 mile jaunt to WI; 50 degree weather, strong winds mostly crossing, cruse at 60. We got 9.5 mpg. I always figure on 10.

Just got through with a 3433 mile camping trip. At 60 mph without trailer the TV gets 27 mpg. With the trailer it gets 12 mpg same terrain.

Since there is no such model as the Rockwood Minilite 2014s I suspect you mean it's a Rockwood Minilite 2104S which is about a foot shorter but a whopping 600 lbs pounds heavier than my own Coachmen Freedom Express 192RBS. :E Loaded and ready to camp my FE typically averages ~ 4500 lbs and I'm towing with 5.3L Chevy Avalanche with the older wide ratio 4-speed transmission coupled to a non-tow friendly 3.42 axle ratio. I typically average 12+ miles to the US gallon towing this trailer compared to when I used to tow a 27' KZ Spree that ran ~ 1000 lbs heavier and with which I typically saw ~ 10.5 mpg. Based on the size and weight of your Minilite your mileage to me is excessively low, though a lot depends on how much of a lead foot you have, the truck's axle ratio, and whether it has one of the newer narrow ratio transmissions, none of which you've detailed for us. There's no way you're going to match gas mileage towing any type of barn door down the road to towing a boat but regardless, towing a trailer the size of yours with any 1/2 ton I'd want to see 11 to 12 mpg.
