Yes, but see my original comment. The specification is plus or minus 1/4" inch from the fill line on the diff cover. You can fill 1/4" below the line or 1/4" above the line as I understand it.
The bottom of the fill hole is exactly 1/4" above the fill line. So it would seem to me if you filled to the bottom of the hole, you would be within spec.
One guy on Youtube made an L-shaped tool whith a 1/4" bend in it to hook into the hole and get exactly to the fill line. Not sure if that's necessary.
IMO its not necessary , as said in my previous post , I too got caught up with messing with it for about a minute before I realized it didn't make much sense . I too saw that L-shaped hook device, that was my one minute attempt .
